The Computer Center was established in August, 1983, under the Office of Academic Affairs.
July, 1990 (Minguo Year 79)
Planning for the campus network began and was completed in 1991.
1992 (Minguo Year 81)
Campus administration computerization started to improve administrative efficiency.
1997 (Minguo Year 86)
The school was restructured as a University of Technology. The Computer Center was upgraded to a first-level unit, divided into three teams: Training, Design, and Network, with a total of 13 staff. It was mainly responsible for the maintenance and management of computer classrooms, campus network, and campus administration computerization.
September, 1999 (Minguo Year 88)
The campus-wide ATM network was established.
October, 2001 (Minguo Year 90)
Connected to the Taiwan Academic Network via 100Mbps fiber optic.
September, 2002 (Minguo Year 91)
Dr. Ji-Cang Liang was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
January, 2003 (Minguo Year 92)
Connected to the Taiwan Academic Network via 1000Mbps fiber optic.
August, 2003 (Minguo Year 92)
Dr. Yi-Quan Lin was appointed Deputy Director of the Computer Center.
September, 2003 (Minguo Year 92)
Established the Giga campus backbone network.
Student dormitories were provided with 100Mb/s network.
January, 2005 (Minguo Year 94)
Established campus wireless network.
February, 2005 (Minguo Year 94)
Dr. Yi-Quan Lin transferred to become Director of the Library.
February, 2006 (Minguo Year 95)
Dr. Ji-Cang Liang retired.
Dr. Qiang-Sheng Han was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
2007 (Minguo Year 96)
All departmental, administrative units and dormitory networks were upgraded to 1000Mbps.
July, 2007 (Minguo Year 96)
Dr. Qiang-Sheng Han retired.
Dr. Zheng-Yu Chen was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
July, 2010 (Minguo Year 99)
Dr. Zheng-Yu Chen transferred to become Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
August, 2010 (Minguo Year 99)
Dr. Hong-Xu Cai was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
August, 2012 (Minguo Year 101)
Dr. Ji-Han Jiang was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
August, 2018 (Minguo Year 107)
Dr. Yi-Quan Lin was appointed Director of the Computer Center.
August, 2024 (Minguo Year 113)
Dr. Hui-Kai Su was appointed as Director of the Computer Center.
